STORY OF DHYANU BHAKT
The incident belongs to the period of Mughal Emperor Akbar. Dhyanu the resident of Nidawn Gram was going to the Ma Jwala's Temple along with thousands of other devotees. Seeing such a large group of people, the soldiers of Akbar stopped the trop at Chandni Chowk (Delhi) and took Dhyanu to the Akbar's Darbar. The emperor asked : where are you going with such a large number of people? Dhyanu answers respectfully - I am going to the Ma Jwala's Temple for worship. The people accompanying me are also the devotee of the Ma Jwala and are traveling to the temple. Akbar heard this and said : Who is Ma Jwala and what will happen by going there Dhyanu Answered : Maharaj Ma Jwala is the creator and protector of the world. She accepts the true prayers of the devotees and fulfills their desire. Their great grace is so much that the lamps burn without any full and light. We go their to worship every year. |

Emperor Akbar said :
Your Jwala Ma is so powerful how can we believe it? After all you are the
devotee of Ma, show us some marvel so that we can also believe the power of
your goddess. Dhyanu answered respectfully : Maharaj I am only a small devotee of Ma Jwala. How can I show you any marvel. |

Akbar said : If your prayers are true and powerful then Devi Ma will keep your honour. If she does not care for you all devotees then what is the use of your prayers? Either your goddess is not trust worthy or your prayers are not true. For examination we will cut your horses head and you can ask your goddess to give it life one's again. "AND THE HORSES NECK WAS CUT" Seeing no way out Dhyanu asked Akbar to give him a months time and during the time period the head and the body of the horse to kept safe. Akbar agreed to Dhyanu's words. Dhyanu was granted the permission to travel. Taking a leave from the kind. Dhyanu along with other travelers reached the Devi's Temple. After taking bath and offering prayer's, at night they conducted a Jagaran. Early morning during Aarti Dhyanu with joined hand prayed to the Devi - He Maheshwari! The king is taking my Bhakti's examination, keep my honour, with your power and grace give my horse a gift of life, do a marvel and make your devotee successful. If you will not accept my request then I will also cut my head and keep it in your feet's, because dyeing is much better than living with a blushing. This is my examination. Please answer. |

He kept silence for some time! There was no answer. After this the devotee cut his head and presented it to the Devi. At the same time the Devi manifest the head joined the body and Dhyanu was given the gift of life. Ma Jwala told the devotee that the horse's head has also joined its body. Leave your tensions and reach Delhi. The reason to feel dishonored is now solved and ask for any blessing you want. |

Dhyanu bowed his head in
Devi's feet's and said. He Jagdamba? You are the must powerful. We humans
are ill-irate. We humans don't know the way to pray. Then also I will
request you Ma. Please don't take such a difficult exam of your Bhakt. Every
devotee of yours in the world cannot present you his head. Ma be kind to
your devotees. Fulfill the desires of your devotees with a simple offering.
"So be it! from now onward instead of head I will fulfill the desires of the people who will worship with a true heart and offer me a "COCONUT" after giving the asked blessing the goddess disappeared. This incident took place at the Temple but at Akbar's Darbar the horse's neck joined the body. The emperor and his employees were surprised seeing the horse alive. Akbar sent some soldiers to the Jwala Ma's Temple. When solders came back they told Akbar that the told him that the flames of light are coming from the earth and due to their power only that marvel had taken place. If you order shall we put then off. By doing this the Hindu's holy place would be destroyed. Akbar gave the permission. The soldiers first kept thick plate of iron over the flames. But the Devine flames melted the iron and came out of it. After this a canal was turned to ward the temple and the water was continuously power over the flames. But the Devine lights continued to burn. The soldiers gave the information to Akbar and told him that the flames cannot be put off. All their efforts have failed. Now you can do whatsoever you think is right. Hearing this news, Akbar called the intelligent Brahman's of his Darbar and asked for their suggestions. The Brahmin's Discussed and said that Akbar himself should go there and see the marvels, offer the presentation according to the procedure and try to preach the goddess. The procedure for a kind to go to the Devine temple is that he should carry an umbrella made up of 50 Kg. pure gold and reach the temple walking bare foots. After that by doing a prayer ask for Devi's forgiveness. |

Akbar agreed with the suggestions given by Brahmin's. A beautiful 50 Kg. pure gold umbrella was constructed. Akbar took its on his shoulders, and reached the temple and saw the Devine lights. He kept the umbrella down and suddenly it broke. It is said that it was not of gold any more. It became a metal which is not known. It is neither iron nor metal, neither copper nor lead. |

Means the Devi refused the offering. Seeing this miracle Akbar did prayers of many types and asked for her forgiveness. He worship the goddess in a number of ways and came back to the Darbar. He issued the orders to the soldiers to behave peacefully and nicely to the devotees of Ma Shakti. The umbrella
presented by Akbar can be seen even today |
